The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has initiated a project to develop Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) for each of its individual departments to ensure Continuity of Government (COG). The PA Turnpike selected BOLDplanning and their web-based COOP planning system to assist in the creation of these plans and to manage the ongoing plan development process.
The BOLDplanning system is a web-based planning tool, designed to guide organizations through the process of developing Continuity of Operations Plans based on FEMA's Continuity Guidance Circular 1 and 2 (CGC1/CGC2). The BOLDplanning system walks planners through each step of the continuity planning process and helps develop a COOP that outlines a clear, concise understanding of roles and responsibilities needed to ensure their department’s ability to transition during times of change in normal operation.
For this project, the BOLDplanning.com system was modified to meet the specific needs of the PA Turnpike . It is accessed via the internet at PTCprepared.com for this planning initiative.
